We regret to inform our community that tomorrow’s showing of David at the Lea Theatre on Sunday, May 17th has been canceled due to unexpected technical difficulties with our sound system.

Our team is already working quickly to address the issue and make the necessary improvements to ensure the best possible movie experience for all of our guests moving forward. We know many of you were looking forward to tomorrow’s showing, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and support of the Lea Theatre. Your support means everything to us, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back very soon with an even better experience for our community. 🎬🤍

Lea Theatre Temporarily Closed for Heating System Upgrade

We would like to clarify to the community that the Lea Theatre is not closing permanently. This closure is temporary and is being done to ensure a comfortable and positive experience for our community and staff.

Currently, the theatre auditorium area where movies are shown is without heat. While other parts of the building remain functional, the main viewing area does not meet comfort standards for guests. Because of this, we made the decision to temporarily pause movie showings until proper heating can be restored.

We are currently waiting on the installation of a new heating and air conditioning system. The estimated timeline for installation is approximately 7 to 8 weeks. However, if temperatures rise and weather conditions improve before the new system is installed, the Lea Theatre may reopen and operate as conditions allow.

Lovington MainStreet & Lea Theatre sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciates the community’s patience and understanding. Once the theatre is fully operational again, we look forward to reopening our doors and welcoming everyone back for movies, special events, and community gatherings.
