For immediate release:
The Cherry Bowl hosted one of six IESA Sectionals today. It was a day full of competitive bowling and sportsmanship.

Harlem bowled well overall taking the top spot for the Girls and the Boys Division while also
having the top individual for both Boys and Girls. The other teams advancing to State from the
Girls Division are West, Flinn, and Eisenhower. The other teams advancing to State from the
Boys Division are Stephen Mack, Lincoln, and Roscoe.

Individual winner for the Girls Division was Lea Besevic from Harlem averaging 219.5 while
Blake Mitchell edged out his teammate shooting 923 for the 4 games beating Logan Abruzzo by
only 1 pin. Other great performances in the Girls Division were Melanie Ellis - Harlem, Lorelei
Gilbertson - Willowbrook, Addie Beaman - West, and Lanie Heath - Eisenhower. The boys top 5
rounded out with Peyton Ennet - Stephen Mack, Jace Leombruni - Harlem, and Logan Le -
Flinn.

All athletes on an advancing team also advance as individuals. Another 8 athletes in the Girls
and the Boys Divisions advance. The bowlers advancing in the Girls Division are Lorelei
Gilbertson - Willowbrook, Autumn Adams - RESA, Kaydence Robinson - Stephen Mack, Lucy
Carlson - Stephen Mack, Alexis Tyler - Roscoe, Ava Montana - Marshall, Annalise Camacho -
Lincoln, and Peyton Dornbusch - RESA. The 8 boys not on a team advancing as individuals are
Logan Le - Flinn, Nicholas Hockmuth - Willowbrook, Gabriel Olvera - West, Collin Bechtel -
Eisenhower, Jhun Dara Pida - Montessori, Zakery Mullranin - Willowbrook, Jacob Hendon -
Eisenhower, and Jerome Bell - RESA. Congratulations to all athletes and Good Luck to those
competing at State next weekend at Town & Country Lanes in Joliet!
