Our first installment: Where it all began........
Before the classes, the costumes, the competitions, the recitals, the camps, the countless hours in the studio...there was this little space.
This was the very first home of Beauty in Motion Dance Arts.
It wasn't big. It wasn't fancy. But it was ours.
BMDA began during the height of Covid in a tiny little space. It was during a time when none of us knew what the future would look like.
Having my own studio had always been a dream but "eventually". I hadn't planned on it happening quite when or how it did.
When everything shut down and the future of the studio was uncertain, I had a choice to make. I knew I needed to make a leap.
Looking back, I truly believe that the path you're meant to take doesn't always appear the way you imagined it would. Sometimes a door closes, circumstances change, and you're given the nudge you need to finally take the chance you've been afraid to take.
As we begin our 7th year, I still look back at these pictures with so much gratitude. So much has changed since those early days, but the heart behind BMDA hasn't.
This little space is where our story began. But we're just getting started....
