Description: 2011 Bighorn Canyon Triathlon:
•This sprint triathlon is at the heart of Wyoming’s beauty.
•The swim starts next to the marina, the bike is on paved roads and the run is on a rocky trail.
•Come and enjoy some of the best of the Wild, Wild West! Course Info:

•The swim starts next to the marina and is an out and back total distance of ½ mile.
•The bike is on paved road and heads

toward the Wyoming Montana boarder and through the wild horse range. Turn around at the Montana boarder where there is a first aid and water station and head back down the mountain to the transition area. There is about a 6% grade for a main portion of the 12 mile bike ride.
•The running trail is on very rocky terrain and goes to Crooked Creek Bay overlook where a photographer will be waiting to take participant pictures at the overlook (free of charge)! 5 k run. Directions:

•Take Highway 14 A Toward Sheridan for 2 miles.
•Turn Left on Highway 37 toward Bighorn Lake Recreation Area.
•Follow this road 9 miles until you enter into Bighorn Recreation Area.
•Turn right turn toward Horseshoe bend.
•Follow to the maria, parking lot and starting area.
