The finest outdoor juried sculpture show and sale featuring 2,000+ sculptures by 160 artists from around the world. Heralded as one of the finest outdoor juried exhibitions of three-dimensional artwork in the United States, Sculpture in the Park showcases over 2,000 pieces of sculpture created by 160 sculptors from around the world. The event is majestically staged against the backdrop of the Rock

y Mountains and attracts thousands of art lovers and collectors from across the country to Loveland's Benson Sculpture Garden. The second weekend of August, Benson Sculpture Garden is transformed by the Loveland High Plains Arts Council and their volunteers from a park into a beautiful setting for this outstanding exhibit. Highlights of Sculpture in the Park include Friday night's Patron Party and a two-day silent auction.

UPDATE: The sculpture has been repaired!

The sculpture at Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland that was damaged when someone attempted to steal it, well...
Good news! It has been repaired and back to its beautiful self.

The repair was done by Jo and David DeDecker of Sculpture Services of Colorado, the Loveland-based company that specializes in the care, maintenance and restoration of outdoor sculpture. The DeDeckers also oversee the care of works at Benson Sculpture Garden.

A stunning piece of art, titled "Be Still My Heart" by Jim Green Sculpture.

National Sculpture Society had this to say! T"hrilled to be showing this piece at Brookgreen Gardens as part of our 93rd Annual Awards Exhibition!"

Jim Green is an artist working and living in Hermosa, SD. His South Dakota upbringing led him to meld a passion for art, mechanical abilities, and a love of animals. In the 90s, he ran a small fine-art casting foundry, which marked the beginning of his journey as a “self-taught” artist. Jim’s work is a thoughtful presentation of wildlife that focuses on balance and detail to engage the viewer with a story or emotion.

Jim is an elected member of the National Sculpture Society whose work is featured in galleries, exhibitions, and private collections nationwide. His sculpture, Pelican Ahoy, was installed at the Benson Sculpture Garden in 2014.

We just found out that someone attempted to steal a bronze sculpture from Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland last night.

They didn’t get the sculpture, but they broke off pieces and scratched/damaged it during the attempt.
If you were at Benson Sculpture Garden last night, saw anything suspicious, or have photos, video, surveillance footage, or any information that could help identify who did this, please contact Loveland Police.

This is artwork created by an artist and displayed for the community. Someone trying to steal it and damaging it in the process is absolutely infuriating.
