See you this Saturday at the Berthoud Art Walk outside Rise Artisan Bread 11am-3pm!

Come do a paint by number square for the mural so we can see this giant mural come to life! All while supporting Colorado Youth Outdoors.

Check out a variety of wilderness inspired art Iā€™ll have on display to represent Wilderness Art Quarry.

Some pieces are harder to see leave the gallery, this is one of those. At the same time itā€™s always fun to see how happy the next person that gets to enjoy it is.

We are going to start doing weekly highlights of individual pieces and with the help of our two boys we are going to be calling it ā€œBarryā€˜s Bestā€ (BARRY being the name the boys gave the black bear and BEST because it sounds good and whenever theyā€™re talking about their favorite things, they say this is my best instead of my favorite.)

This week is a piece by Bob Engel titled ā€œWhen Grizzlies Roamed In Coloradoā€

This piece started off as a simple landscape painting that Bob had done during an oil painting workshop. Years later, in 2010, Bob attended another workshop where one of the key points was not to waste your creativity and donā€™t be afraid to redo your old paintings. So after reading an article talking about how Colorado no longer has grizzlies, he decided to improve the original painting by adding a bunch of grizzlies and giving it a new title.

each of Barryā€˜s Best will be on an easel in the main gallery for that week, so if you need a closer look, be sure to stop in and see them in person!
