NoCoYO exists to give students an opportunity to create music and support the efforts of Orchestra Teachers at the Middle and High School levels, Local Private Teachers, and Homeschool families throughout the region.

Day 3 in LA, Part 1: On this morning, we had the privilege of learning from Dr. Glenn Price, Director of Performing and Visual Arts at the California Institute of Technology, during an inspiring clinic. We also had the incredible opportunity to work with composer Daniel Daly, who wrote our world premiere piece, "After Silence, We Sing". NoCoYO was honored to be selected as the recipient of this year’s commission, which was performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Thank you, Dr. Price and Mr. Daly, for sharing your time, expertise, and artistry with us!

We may have just returned from an unforgettable week in Los Angeles, but the next chapter is already beginning.

🎻 Auditions for the 2026–27 season are just ONE MONTH away!

From performing at Disneyland and Walt Disney Concert Hall to creating lifelong memories together, this season reminded us why we do what we do. Now we’re looking ahead and inviting the next group of musicians to join us.

LA Tour Day 1: We had fairly smooth travels, a great meal, tons of laughs, and a firm reminder that humidity does indeed exist. We can't wait for our performance at Disneyland tomorrow!

🎻☀️ WE’VE ARRIVED! ☀️🎻

Los Angeles, we’re here!

After months of preparation, countless rehearsals, lessons, sectionals, performances, fundraising efforts, and planning, the NoCoYO Chamber Orchestra has officially arrived in Southern California.

Over the next several days, our students will have the opportunity to perform, learn, explore, and create memories that will last a lifetime. From Disney California Adventure to the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, this tour represents the culmination of an incredible season of hard work and dedication.

Most importantly, it is a chance for these young musicians to share their artistry, represent Northern Colorado, and experience the transformative power of music together.

Thank you to our families, volunteers, donors, teachers, alumni, and supporters who helped make this journey possible. We are honored to carry your support with us every step of the way.

🎻✈️ 1 DAY TO GO! 🌴☀️

Tomorrow, the NoCoYO Chamber Orchestra begins its journey to Los Angeles!

Today is all about the final details. Packing instruments, checking music folders, making sure concert attire is ready, and preparing for an unforgettable experience together.

For our students, this tour represents more than a performance trip. It is the culmination of countless hours of practice, lessons, rehearsals, and personal dedication. Tomorrow, they will represent not only NoCoYO, but communities across Northern Colorado as they perform at Disney California Adventure and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

To our families, volunteers, donors, teachers, and supporters, thank you. None of this would be possible without your encouragement, sacrifices, and belief in these young musicians.

One more night of sleep.

Tonight, we invite you to experience Hope After Darkness, a program that explores grief, healing, resilience, and ultimately hope.

Through the music of Martin Ellerby, Eric Whitacre, Yukiko Nishimura, Sean O’Loughlin, Daniel Daly, and Aaron Copland, our musicians will take audiences on an emotional journey from darkness into light. This performance holds special significance as we prepare to travel to Los Angeles for our upcoming tour.

Join us tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Mountain View High School in Loveland as the NoCoYO Chamber Orchestra presents this powerful program. Please note that tonight’s performance will not include After Silence We Sing, which will receive its world premiere during our Los Angeles tour.
