Workshop with Nancy Jakobsson and Lynn Kincanon (Veronica Patterson is unable to attend this).

Thursday, August 20, 5:30 – 7 pm

Join us for a transformative workshop on navigating grief through writing, set in the Dunning Gallery amidst reflections on the tragic 1976 Big Thompson flood. This gathering invites anyone who experienced the flood, lost loved ones, or felt its impact, whether locally or from afar. As we mark the fiftieth anniversary, this is an opportunity to revisit those memories and share your reflections.

The workshop will be led by Loveland's second Poet Laureate, Lynn Kincanon, alongside Nancy Jakobsson, a retired grief counselor and former Director of Pathways Hospice Counseling Center.

We kindly suggest a $10 donation to support the Loveland Poet Laureate program, payable at the door. Your participation can help foster a sense of community healing.

We had a wonderful time last night celebrating at the Wolverine Farm the new book of Ally Eden, Fort Collins's former Poet Laureate. It was a crowded event, her reading was beautiful, and the book is gorgeous. Congratulations Ally.

Wonderful two events this week. First, an amazing poetry reading at the Loveland Musem and today a fascinating and inspiring workshop in the Deveresux room. Thank you Melissa Huff. It was a resounding success.
