A good barter system will always work. I am a person who does truly believe in a barter system. Why? Well because I can't do everything. And if someone knows how to or has the capacity to do something I can't, I would like to support them. That works even better when I grow, produce, or do something they cant themselves.
This sweet corn is just a little glimpse of that. Our property is not great for growing sweet corn, but we have a cousin who can. What do we have that he needs? BEEF! He brought over corn last night and went home with beef for his family. It was a win for all.

Going into the press this weekend is Cotswold cheese.

Today is definitely a messy kitchen day.
Cleaning eggs
Making butter
Making 2 kinds of cheese
Canning peppers
And finally Making ice cream.

Because of the rain and work schedules the grass is overgrown.

That means the rams have hit yard sheep status again. So if you see them walking around the yard, no they did not get out and yes we know they're not in a pen.

John and Nico absolutely love when they get yard sheep status!

Well that was completely not expected!! We entered 2 fleeces at Michigan Fiber Festival just to see what would happen.
Well we came home with Best in Show.
