Meet The Girls!

🟠 Ivy Rose Alderwood, LMFT, DSW, better knows as PONY is cute, sweet, & spicy. Free-spirited, flirtatious, and emotionally layered, Pony is the unpredictable heart of the trio. A mental health therapist with a complicated personal history, she often uses sensuality and sarcasm to cover up wounds that never quite healed. She’s insightful, spiritual, and deeply loving—but still searching for something permanent: a child, a partner, or maybe just a deeper version of herself.

🟢 Dr. Grace June Langston, EdD, better known as JINGLE is a practical, high-functioning educator juggling a long-distance marriage, two sons, and a career that asks too much and offers too little. She is deeply loyal but struggles with pride and control. Her humor is biting, her energy relentless, and her heart often hidden behind her “together” persona. As her world begins to fracture, Jingle is forced to confront the lies she’s told herself about love, sacrifice, and her own worth.

🔵 Nora Skye Calloway, Esq, better known as BLUE, is a Black Woman on a mission. A driven and immaculately polished lawyer, Blue is equal parts brilliance and control. She is the kind of woman who wins… at everything, but is quietly unraveling under the weight of grief, familial duty, and emotional distance. She’s sharp-tongued, with a dry wit and a commanding presence, but her vulnerability surfaces in moments when no one is watching. Blue’s story is one of legacy, responsibility, and finally learning to let people see her bleed.

The Festival Of Reads Vol 2 was a success! Shout Out to our writers, readers, sponsors, partners, judges, chair and volunteers. Over $450 in prize money was awarded last night because the system works, the system called COMMUNITY! Volume 3 is coming in August! I hope you’re ready! What a beautiful night!
