Sunday, September 7 in Paristown! I will be setting up my booth for the plant sale and swap. This is one of the few events I’ll be doing this year, as I am still recovering from a severe illness that has limited my mobility and manual dexterity. I have only recently discovered that I can tie knots again, but my rate of production is significantly slower than it was in the Before Times.

So many people were so incredibly generous and helpful when I was in the hospital, which means the world to me. Seriously, thank you! However, I still need help financially, and this is an easy way to do just that. I’m still paying off my hospital stay and racking up lots of high copays for all the specialists I’ve had to see this year.

My plant hangers are unique and all made by hand by me! Please come out and say hi 👋

Saturday, 6/28/25 from Noon to 4pm! I’ll be making an appearance in-person at the plant sale and swap at TEN20 Craft Brewery in Butchertown. Huge thanks to Wall Of Plants for coordinating this event! I will have plenty of my handmade plant hangers for sale in a large selection of styles and colors. I am still recovering from a severe illness, so I am still not taking any custom orders at this time, unfortunately. Mention this post for a discount! Event link in comments.

Hi friends! I’ve got some good news and bad news…. The good news is that my plant hangers will be making an appearance at TEN20 Craft Brewery on March 29 & 30 from 11am - 3pm during the plant swap and sale organized by Wall Of Plants. See flyer for details.

The bad news is I’ve had a major health crisis that started in January in which I spent 2 months in the hospital that began with 3 weeks in a coma and ended with 3 weeks in rehab relearning how to walk and use my hands. I finally made it back home on March 6th. My mobility is still limited as I am still recovering, so I will likely be taking the rest of the year off from major market events. My partner, Chris, has offered to take some racks of my plant hangers to the event at Ten20 with hopes that we can earn some extra cash to subsidize costs associated with medical bills and living expenses, as I am currently out of work for 3 months. We also have GoFundMe and MealTrain accounts that were setup by some very kind friends. I’ll share links in the comments.

I still have a large inventory (200+) of plant hangers made that are ready for purchase. If you can’t make it to the plant swap and sale, feel free to reach out to schedule an appointment to make a purchase. Unfortunately, I can’t take any custom orders at this time due to neuropathy in my hands.

The good news is that recovery is going well and my doctors say I should make a 100% recovery with some time and physical therapy. My spirits are lifted and my heart is full of gratitude for all the love and support that has surrounded me during such a difficult and very weird time.

Happy Holidaze! I don’t have any holiday market events scheduled this year, but I am taking custom orders. I do not have any active orders at the moment, so reach out if you’d like me to make something! These pictures are not of my work, but they are all pieces I can definitely make if you’re looking for something fun and festive.

I made a last minute decision to attend this short pop-up event today in Jeffersonville. I’ll be bringing a rack of plant hangers and a tote of backup pieces for sale. I’ll be discounting all pieces: 10% off the purchase of any 1 piece, 15% off 2 pieces, and 20% off 3 or more pieces.

I couldn’t be happier to see this custom piece find its way home to its happy new owner! It took several weeks to create a piece that required dying cotton cord (thanks to my awesome cousin for helping!), collecting the perfect stick for the top from my family’s property in Pike County, and a disturbing amount of staples. It was a fantastic exercise in precision and accuracy. I’m always open to making your dream pieces a reality, as custom orders are always welcome.

It’s been a pretty good year for the garden! The first week of August is usually a full blown tomato explosion and this year is no exception. We’re growing many varieties of Kentucky heirloom tomatoes that have been successful for us in previous years in addition to testing out some new varieties 🍅 I’m in love with the Rawlings tomato, an heirloom from Belfry, KY (the nearest town to where my family is from in Pike County), and I’ll definitely be growing more of the tiny yellow champagne cherry tomatoes 🥂✨ Poona kheera cucumbers have been fun to watch ripen—they’re an Indian variety of “potato cucumber” that turn brown as they ripen 🥒 I can never seem to plant enough eggplant, as I love making baba ganoush 🍆 I was sad that none of my okra seeds sprouted, so no okra this year. The peppers have been trickling in and should really take off over the next few weeks 🌶️🫑 I’ve been saving seeds for the past couple years and I’m always happy to share. It’s also been a great year for my large collection of Hoya plants. I switched fertilizers and have been seeing lots of blooms that look like they came from outer space 💫🌸✨ I opted out of entering the state fair in order to focus on canning tomatoes, which will commence this weekend🫙🥫Happy summer from our garden to yours! 🌞

When life is a 15 pound bowl of cherries, make a huge batch of cherry pie filling! This was my first time using ClearJel, a corn-based food starch that allows products to maintain their consistency when cooked under high heat, and it was a breeze! Lab-tested recipe is from the National Center for Home Food Preservation.
