When we made plans to meet up IRL for the first time in Oakland, Debi and I knew animals and clay had to be part of it. So while her sweet doggo had a nap under the table, we threw, traded, and then decorated these pots, which we are now using to fundraise for our favorite animal rescue orgs. Pipe kitten update: mama didn’t show her pretty face again, but she did come out after we left. Kittens are doing about the same, still getting used to people and to new foods. They tore around a lot when we played video games! So I guess they are feeling okay.

As I child I always had a fantasy of being able to tame wild creatures. :) Now I’m returning to the critter who sent me to urgent care only 2 days ago, with new helpful strategies and steadfast determination to make these babies my buddies! Except Long John, he’s already my sweet friend and a little menace!
Mom is still in hiding, though she comes out, I assume, when I’m not in the room… the food is gone and there are adult-sized litter box contents 😅 I’m sure she will learn I’m safe eventually!
