"Pride is the devil,
Much to our demise,
Pride is insecurity,
A lie in disguise for others eyes,
To hide the facade that you feel inside,
Opposite of sublime,
Someone sets you off you deny,
The fact that you don't feel so in tact,
Faking the funk but really having a funky attitude,
Not showing yourself or someone else your emotional gratitude,
An opinionated people pleaser,
Too concerned with what other people think of you,
You're confused,
Pride comes before a fall you don't know what you will get yourself into,
Shoes of comfort and stability lace it up and wear it,
Prepared to walk in the direction of peace,
With your feet your existence is valued and you have something to teach me,
I beseech thee,
Please set yourself free,
Pray the emotional trauma,
The mental drama,
The insanity going on inside dies as the new you arises,
I need you friend,
I need YOU friend,
Not this camouflage of the real you we know it's a facade,
I love you,
Pride kills,
Pride dies,
Let your spirit arise and come to the green pastures the Lord leads too,
The grass is much Greener on the other side,
All praises to the most high." 🙏🏾
