The fun starts at 6 PM with food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, and live community performances. Then at 8:30, Teddy Abrams takes the podium for an unforgettable night under the stars.

Big news! The Louisville Orchestra has been named one of 10 recipients of the 2025–2026 Stand For The Arts Award, presented by Ovation TV and Spectrum.

We were recognized for our commitment to innovation and outreach — bringing orchestral music to more people through bold performances, youth programs, and neighborhood residencies. We're proud to represent Louisville (and the whole Midwest!) in this national spotlight.

The $10,000 award will go directly toward our mission of making music accessible to everyone in our community. Thank you to Ovation TV and Spectrum for championing organizations like ours.

The Louisville Orchestra is elated to announce that Jordan Harris, the chair of our board of directors, has been appointed to the board of directors of the prestigious League of American Orchestras 🎶

Harris’s appointment to the League board further positions the Louisville Orchestra alongside other great and groundbreaking orchestras in the nation.

“Jordan’s appointment by the League of American Orchestras is a reflection of the Louisville Orchestra’s stature and engagement at a national level,” said Teddy Abrams, music director for the Louisville Orchestra. “It’s also a tribute to Jordan. It’s great to see him recognized on the national stage with this appointment. His vision, advocacy, and commitment to the future of orchestral music have helped position the Louisville Orchestra as a model for innovation. This new appointment enables him to play a role in supporting orchestras throughout the nation.”
