Did you know StageOne was founded in 1946 as the Louisville Children's Theatre? 🎭 Long before the Bomhard, our very first stage was at The Woman's Club theatre where we are returning to toast our 80th anniversary season. Join us for an unforgettable gala....

When: October 22 | 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Where: The Woman's Club auditorium (Old Louisville)
What: Alumni performances produced by J Daniel Herring, music by Emmy-winning cellist Ben Sollee, archival treasures, community recognition, light bites, libations and plenty of merriment with fellow theatre enthusiasts.

Rehearsals are officially underway for our 2026-27 season opener: A Wrinkle in Time!

Director Keith McGill has been part of the StageOne and Walden Conservatory family for 17 years. From his StageOne directorial debut with The Giver to writing and directing A Nation in Crisis -- a powerful one-person show on Black American history that grew into an impactful JCPS educational outreach production -- Keith continues to make a lasting difference in Louisville's theatre com munity.

We are endlessly grateful for his talent, leadership, and patience. We can’t wait for you to see his latest vision come to life on stage!

Kicking off our 80th season, Walden Conservatory at Stage One presents A Wrinkle in Time. In our 80-year history, this is the 4th time we've produced the Newbery Medal-winning story of 13 year old Meg, who-- along with her brother Charles Wallace, and friend Calvin-- battles darkness with light in order to rescue her father from planet Camazots. Directed by Keith McGill, A Wrinkle in Time features advanced students of the Walden Conservatory.
