Fresh off her awesome appearance (with a giant spider and a robot beetle) at The Storytelling Revolution Festival, it’s puppeteer Brittany Conder!!!!

Brittany Conder is a Louisville based artist. As a long time behind-the-scenes artist for theater, she recently debuted her first play ‘La Petite Volontaire’. She is a sculptor, scenic designer, painter, prop artist, actor, and director.

Her interests are expansive. Exploring horror, science, social studies, and mental health. She loves to bridge artistic worlds by sewing costumes and puppets, constructing robots, body paint etc, and strives to incorporate art into every aspect of her life.

Brittany has had solo gallery events, painted a mural for the city of Louisville, been art department for music videos, and has lead teams of painters for theater productions.

Brittany is excited to be back on stage for her newest play. However, she returns to the classroom at UofL for Biology starting mid-August, so see her perform now while you can!

Don’t miss the first ever Louisville Fringe Puppet Slam: 8pm FRIDAY JULY 24 $15, hosted by our partners Pandora Productions in their theatre at The Henry Clay.

Zoë Peterson is an actor and award-winning playwright currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2023, Zoë graduated with a BFA in Acting from CCM at the University of Cincinnati, in addition to a Minor in English and Screenwriting Certificate. There, Zoë helped to produce the 2023 Transmigration Festival of student-devised plays and was the recipient for the University's Best Play Award in 2023 and 2021. Outside of CCM, Zoë has premiered works at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and Serials! At the Know Theatre- including the interactive horror-comedy series, Sally Salem, most recently seen in Kentucky at the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Storytelling Revolution Festival. Zoë currently works as a freelance artist and theatre educator; facilitating classes on acting, writing, and puppetry- including the upcoming Puppetry and Performance classes at the Know. A character-driven artist with a particular interest in new works, horror and classical theatre, Zoë often looks for genre-bending or absurdist projects.

Really cool puppet stuff already happens in Louisville, but puppetry is still a relatively small section of our performing arts scene.

We think Louisville wants more, and the two fully sold out performances of the puppet show at the recent Storytelling Revolution Festival prove it.

We want Louisville to have more puppets: Sweet kids puppets, scary shadow puppets, bun raku, overhead projectors, giant f@cking horrors, winsome marionattes. MOAR PUPPETS.

To the audience members that came to see one show.
To the audience members who came for one show and stayed for two.
To the audience members who planned every show in advance, and came back over and over.

To the producers, directors and playwrights who made shows happen. To every single artist, actor puppeteer, playwright, performance artist and weirdo who came to play, create, wonder, and pretty frequently say “f**k you” to the people out there who want to squash people who play, create, and wonder.

To everyone at Actors Theatre who welcome us in, from each radical hospitality member, every technical theatre artist, every stage manager, and most especially to Emily Tarquin and Amelia Acosta Powell, who invited us to throw a festival with them.

No official announcements yet, and the future is always unknown, but the words “next year,” “next time,” and “year two,” are already getting thrown around, and we hope to see you again real soon.
