Young Hearts Theatre Free performances of locally developed musicals by seniors aged 60 years or older; actors, singers, dancers, designers & crew.

Presented at Ursuline Arts Center with easy access. Young Hearts Theatre, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, never charges for any of their shows, but tax deductible donations are always heartily welcomed to help defray production cost. Young Hearts Theatre was founded in 1979 by Eloise Terry, a retired internationally known professional Adagio dancer and a local TV performer. Young Hearts is d

esigned to provide retired professional and non-professional performers the opportunity to contribute to the community and satisfy their desire to remain active in the performing arts. To join Young Hearts Theatre you must be age 60 or over and audition at the published audition dates prior to rehearsals for the show. Singers, actors, dancers, and back-stage helpers are always needed. Young Hearts produces two major original shows each year (A Spring and a Fall Show) as well as performing "Mini-Shows" for various clubs, organizations, assisted living and nursing facilities between their productions.

Young Hearts Theater Inc was established in 1979 by Eloise Terry. Young Hearts Theatre has had a partnership Sacred Heart School for the Performing Arts for over 21 years. During those 21 years we were able to use Ursuline Arts Center for our performance venue in the Spring and Fall of each year. In 2012 We established The Eloise Terry Scholarship Fund, to provide a financial need scholarships for children to remain in the theater after school programs when their family finances fell into difficult times. The scholarship was supported through donations from Young Hearts Theatre Group and individual patron donors through out the years. When a Young Hearts Theatre Cast Member passes, the organization makes a deposit into the fund to Commemorate the Life of the Deceased Cast Member. Needy families who wish to keep their children involved in the after=school theater, music, and dance programs may apply through Sacred Heart School for the Arts.

The water main has been repaired and Young Hearts shows are back on schedule for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Cast Members, Crew, and Rockerettes Cast call time is 12:30 PM.

Patrons and friends, Theatre opens at 1:00 pm.
