Today marks 20 years in business full time. Over the 20 years, I’ve worked on thousands of pianos for a wide variety of people. I’ve tuned as far south as Florida, and as far north as Alaska but mostly in the Louisville, KY area. I’ve been blessed by knowing adults, children, and their pets. I’ve had the opportunity to tune for children learning, concert artists, famous people, infamous people, churches, stores, events. Basically, I’ve worked wherever there is a piano. Every time I played when I was finished. One time, I played a hymn for an older gentleman and he said with tears in his eyes, “that was my wife’s favorite.” I had no idea. I’ve had the privilege of touching up a tuning for church while the pastor went over his notes - final preparation for worship.

I have so many stories and have made so many friends.
I leave you with this one. One time I was tuning a piano and a little girl was watching (about 4 years old). After awhile, she ran out of the room. I figured she was bored and went to play. A few minutes later she came back. She put a nickel in my tool case and said, “Here’s your tip!” It’s still in my tool case.

I’ve never carried debt in my business, always paid the bills first, then myself. I’ve had a profit every month including the month of 9/11 ($7.11). I’m so grateful for all my customers and fellow technicians and family who have supported me through the years. Thanks to you all for the work. I’m not done, yet!

Kawai RX-2 grand piano, ser # 2422234, 5’9” built 2001, walnut cabinet w/bench and PianoDisc Symphony Pro PDS 228 GFX floppy/CDplayer system. The piano has been regularly tuned and was last serviced 7/13/20.
Asking $14,000.

Microeconomic indicator- On track for my best month this year in my business! 9% higher than the next best month which was February. If you need your piano tuned, I am working and have a safe procedure in place. Thanks to all who have scheduled tunings. I’m very grateful. 🎹😀🎹

Hello everyone, I am now servicing pianos again on a regular basis. I am using a mask, gloves as needed, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant (for piano keys/parts). Customers are required to remain out of the area while tuning. Please call for tuning when ready. I’m glad to discuss my procedure on the phone if you like. I’ve been social distancing for 60 days now (since March 12, 2020). BTW, I am maintaining the same prices established last fall - no increases. Blessings to all.

Replacement of hardened rubber “donut” grommets on a spinet piano. This eliminates noise and prevents non- working keys.
