We are searching for a reliable, detail-orientated audio engineer to join our growing team at Coates Music Studios.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your job description includes creating and editing recordings, setting up equipment in studio and at events, following client specifications, and meeting project deadlines. You should have excellent time management and show up on schedule for studio sessions.
To be successful as an audio engineer, you should have a discerning ear and be able to identify what sounds good. Outstanding candidates are knowledgeable about audio equipment, able to follow written and verbal instructions, and consistently deliver superb results.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma.
Certificate in audio technology or similar recommended.
Practical experience with sound equipment.
Superb ear for sound.
Ability to work under pressure and stay calm when things go wrong.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Professional self-starter with a growth mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Problem Solving: When equipment malfunctions, an audio engineer must be able to identify the problem, then make the repairs and necessary adjustments.
Critical Thinking: To fix problems, engineers must come up with alternative solutions and then figure out which solution will have the best results.
Manual Dexterity: Setting up equipment, connecting wires, and using k***s and buttons to make adjustments requires excellent manual dexterity.
Monitoring: Audio engineers must continuously monitor volume levels and sound quality.
Communication: Engineers must possess excellent listening and speaking skills to collaborate on projects with others involved in the project.
