I flew from Kentucky to Arizona to help my daughter with a few projects. She wanted some fresh sourdough starter so I brought some dehydrated starter and rehydrated it. Those bagels were made from a recipe from the_sourdoughhoe (delicious) We also created two jumbo wreaths together—she picked the supplies, and I did the crafting. I’m pretty sure we went to Michael’s and Hobby lobby
almost everyday. Did I mention, I mailed supplies ahead of time too?
We also caught a baseball game, tried a couple new restaurants , and watched some Hallmark movies because it’s always Hallmark season, even in 110° heat! Great visit as always.

This order was requested and the customer provided the napkins and the stickers. The stickers were a total experiment. I didn’t know if they would work but they did. My process for these trinket dishes is as follows
1. Obtain shells- my best option has always been Etsy.
2. Paint a basecoat on the shell – I used house paint as it provides good coverage and it dries fast.. I let the paint sit on the shell a day or two
3. I select my napkin and I peel all the layers off except for the printed layer and use mod podge to glue this on. I don’t use a lot of glue. I let it dry for a few hours, and then I put some mod podge on the top making sure I cover the entire area and the edges. I let this dry again for at least a day or two.
3. I seal each of the shells with deco art triple thick sealer. That’s what it’s called. I usually add two layers with a day or two of drying time in between. Don’t skimp on the drying time. And every layer of everything you put on is going to be a thin layer.
4. Trim the edge with gold paint marker.
5. Store in single layer and don’t use for at least a week. The sealer needs time to cure.
