WHY RADIO? There really are a hundred reasons why we volunteer every week for our show

But today I’m highlighting community impact, how there is always someone there for you to listen with when you turn on our station.

I’ve heard throughout my time in broadcast tv and radio how DJs and on air talent make people feel like they’re tuning in and listening to a friend 🥹

I felt like that listening to 94.5 KDGE, growing up & when I was still living in Dallas, always in the car for my sales job. I still keep up with from that time because she is sooo interesting and inspiring, now hosting on 👏

So whether you’re on our WXOX app or listening on 97.1 FM, press play & you never have to be alone 💗

Our annual fundraiser is SEPTEMBER 10 if you’re a long time listener or first timer, our station is powered by the people. Help keep ART FM on air & donate a 5 $ min next THURSDAY 9/10 with my link in bio!

Let’s shoot 3 interviews in 1 day!

With 2 cameras and 2 tripods for this first interview, it’s safer to not go solo. Thanks to brianna for helping me on her day off 🥹💗

40 minutes to set up & it’s pretty consistent:
1) set up tripods
2) lenses and tripod sleds on cameras
3) mount cameras, wide shot then close up
4) lighting set up
5) find color temperature
6) test audio
7) ready to roll !

It looks like a lot… but when the client *loves* the spot & approves with no notes, making sure all the details are just right is worth it. Every time.

Same day, 2nd location - ARTxFM • WXOX is my community radio station where I’m shooting an interview with Official for our annual fundraiser !

ONE DAY ONLY is Sept 10th

Who are you raising money for this year ??

WXOX is a community of volunteer DJs who share their time and their interests for free, every week. I cherish the frequency & the people who keep it going ! Have you tuned in?
