Adieu mon ami, mon cher, mon beau, Nico. ♡

It is with deep sadness that I write this post. Our dear Nicolas Fortin died Monday. My connection to Nico was through Bourbon Baroque of which he was a co-founder. He worked with us, Musica Toscana, to bring great music to life from the pens of great artists.

Nico always made me smile and allowed me the opportunity to practice my french. I spent time yesterday to read through the posts acknowledging his death and paying tribute to him. He leaves family, friends, collegues and music lovers in disbelief, stunned and heart broken.

I quietly wept since hearing the news as I read the posts expressing sorrow, heart ache and saddness. Words used to describe Nico included gentle, witty, perceptive, wonderful,
cheerful, sweet, delightful, kind spirited, amazing, genuine, hilarious, dear, incredible, welcoming, funny, affectionate, inspiring, kind, gifted, passionate, generous, good natured, bubbly, hugger, joyful, dedicated, enthusiastic, wry, and vivacious.

I found him a warm human being, a giving soul, a talented musician, a gentleman, a teacher, and quirky.
