The Low Glow of Louisville, KY is a whole vibe. Truly original in every way. The genre defying quartet has been crafting original and spellbinding audiences with their intergalactic grooves and theatrical shenanigans for years.

The force of supernatural power that is created with the acrobatic on communication of keyboardist Woody Woodmansee and guitarist Joe Bowers on stage keeps fans mystified, and possibly a little scared, of what may happen next. The duo’s interplay lay the landscape for sonic exploration while the soothing powerful lead vocals of Jason Logsdon takes root and encourages sonic cosmonauts that everything is going to be ok. Drummer Josh Clark balances out the pulse of the group with his mechtronic rhythms.

The group has been turning heads and perking up ears into the outer cosmos and drawing fans from galaxies near and far!

The Lowland Ramblers are one of the rising talents out of Kentucky. Fusing their traditional bluegrass roots with modern sounds, they are determined to carve out their space in the state’s robust musical heritage. Founded in 2023, the string band has been playing shows throughout the Ohio Valley, travelling as far as Philadelphia on their solo tours. This quartet has opened for East Nash Grass on multiple occasions and cobilled with the likes of Mama Said String Band, Mash Grass, 65 North Pickers, and Nectar Valley. Their debut album, ‘Going Under’, released in August 2025, contains songs arranged in the bluegrass style with songwriting reminiscent of John Prine, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers …(etc.) . Their originals are renowned for coming from a place that is raw and relatable, and their covers range from songs as old as the civil war to popular anthems that draw the audience out of their chairs to dance and sing along. With their unique fusion of bluegrass, country, rock, and a few psychedelic jams, The Lowland Ramblers bring fans together for an unforgettable live show.

Standing over 24 feet tall when stacked end to end and weighing a combined 700 pounds, Small Time Napoleon is statistically one of the most measured bands to come out of Kentucky.

Small Time Napoleon is the combination of new ideas and old sounds. Their interest in the jazz standards of the swing-era shine through in their voices, writing, and playing, while their ear for new sounds and ideas constantly drives them forward. The product of this pairing is what Kyle Ware of Insider Louisville has called “a mad science blend of western swing, hot jazz and folk,” which is “already starting to gel into something wholly singular.”

Nick Stanley is a Louisville, KY based singer/songwriter and frontman for Nashville rock group “DrugDog”. After growing up performing with various acts in Louisville’s rock scene, Stanley took his musical passion to Music City, Nashville, TN in 2011. Spending 13 years playing for multiple acts in the Nashville music scene as a guitarist and vocalist, he has shared the stage with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Moon Taxi, Eric Steckel Band, and many more. Fast forward to the present, Louisville’s music scene has called him back, this time as a solo artist. Stanley combines elements of Southern/Alternative Rock, Folk, and Blues to create a distinctive, lyrically driven experience that he describes as “straight from the heart and soul.”

Act Casual, a dynamic fusion band hailing from Detroit, has garnered attention for their electrifying performances, haunting harmonies, and innovative improvisational style. Merging elements of the blues, funk, extended instrumentals, and catchy pop melodies, the band has become a vibrant force within the Midwest music scene. Their rise from intimate basement jam sessions to sold-out performances at renowned venues such as Detroit’s Magic Stick, Ann Arbor’s Blind Pig, and Columbus’s Woodlands Tavern reflects their growing popularity and dedicated fanbase.

In addition to their regional engagements, Act Casual has made significant strides in the music festival circuit, performing at large events such as Summer Camp Music Festival, Ho**ahville, Weekend at the Cave, Solshine Reverie, Summer’s End Smokeout, Ann Arbor Hash Bash, and Arts Beats & Eats. The band was invited to perform at a Bernie Sanders campaign rally and has opened as direct support for notable national acts including Bootsy Collins, Wishbone Ash, Larry McCray, Laith Al-Saadi, Omega Moos featuring Brendan Bayliss and Ryan Stasik of Umphrey’s McGee, The New Mastersounds, Ekoostik Ho**ah, Spafford, Dopapod, Moon H***h, The Werks, Mihali, Magic Beans, Dixon’s Violin, and The Nth Power. Prominent musicians including Ben Carrey of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Muruga Booker and Gabe Gonzalez of Parliament Funkadelic, and Chris Houser of The Werks have also sat in with the band.

Act Casual’s palpable stage presence and energetic performances have attracted media attention, leading to features in publications such as Rolling Stone magazine, Detroit Metro Times, Music Connection magazine, Local Spins, and The Stratton Setlist. Their latest album “Livin’ a Lie”, which has surpassed 50,000 streams on Spotify and received airplay on 101 WRIF and 101.9 WDET, has solidified their status in the independent music scene. Act Casual recently completed their 35+ date 2025 summer tour and a recording session at Third Coast Recording Co., looking ahead the band is slated to releasing new music in 2026 and embarking on an even larger summer tour.

Daniel Preston Botula (Doolah)

Daniel (a.k.a. Doolah) Botula is a singer, songwriter, rhythm, and lead guitar player, who has been active in the Louisville area for 30 years. He sang in choirs from junior high all the way through college. Daniel was also asked to be in All-State choir in both junior high and high school. AFter playing trumpet in junior high band and taking piano lessons, he started playing guitar at age 16 and has not looked back. He played in and headlined many festivals, Waterfront Wednesday in Louisville, and theaters around the region. He has played in bands such as Bloom Street, Kentucky Fried Pickin’ (bluegrass), and Vessel. In 2012 Vessel won the 2012 Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands. All of his bands have opened for many national touring acts over the years.
