Some traditions are about more than what we serve — they’re about the people who made them special. ❤️

For many years, the Rotary Club of Louisa has been a familiar part of Lawrence County Septemberfest, serving up their famous Rotary Hash and Bahama Mamas and supporting our community along the way.

This photo brings back some especially meaningful memories. The Rotarians pictured here are no longer with us, but their friendship, service, laughter, and dedication to our community are still very much a part of Septemberfest.

As Rotary sets up again this year, we remember those who once stood behind these grills, worked side by side with their fellow Rotarians, and gave so much of themselves to Louisa and Lawrence County.

They may be gone, but the traditions they helped create — and the memories they left behind — live on.

Stop by the Rotary booth at Septemberfest this year, enjoy some Rotary Hash or a Bahama Mama, and help us remember some good friends who helped make this festival and our community what they are today.
