There’s been many times in my life where I wished I was a guy - just because I thought it would be easier to be accepted and valued in business. I’ve always felt like I’ve had to prove myself, to show my worth, that I’ve always had to go against the grain. Having to speak louder to be heard, work harder to be seen, do more to be valued. But as I get older, and as women have become more valued by society - I’m finally starting to be proud in my own skin. A half English, half Asian, woman. Golf is an industry that’s seen a huge influx of women. It’s an industry that’s started to embrace and welcome them rather than turn them away. It’s inspiring to see more men holding out their hands and inviting more females to get started in golf. To see other women invite their friends. For everyone to be seen and accepted for who they are, and not for their gender. Thank you to those who are: 🙏🏽 employing women with their business 🙏🏽 starting and leading presentations and conversations about women rather than leaving it as an after thought at the end 🙏🏽 making sure to hear from and listen to every woman in the room 🙏🏽 encouraging and inviting women to meetings, conversations, activities, rather than excluding them Thank you to all the women who support and empower other women. Thank you to all the men who support and empower women. Whether you know it or not, you’re making a huge difference to their life And finally to the who team at - thank you for making a huge part of initiatives. Thank you for listening to me. Thank you for being there for me. And thank you for valuing me as a person. I’m so grateful to you all 🫶🏽
