Helios Dance Theater was founded in 1996 by Laura Gorenstein Miller. Miller's work has been set on ABT, ABT 2, The Milwaukee Ballet, BODYTRAFFIC and CalArts. Mille

r has received many awards for her choreography, most notably she was the only choreographer from the United States to be selected to participate in Genesis, the Milwaukee Ballet’s international Choreographic competition. Miller’s commercial credits include the choreography for the dance scenes in the Oscar nominated film "Puss In Boots," the animated film "Madagascar 3" and an episode of "Parenthood" for their final season.
