“Somebody said, ‘Yo, Redman and M**hod Man is here.’ He said, ‘F*** rap’”😂🐐🏀

N.O.R.E. says he witnessed the wild moment at a Def Jam Christmas party where several rappers were waiting for a chance to meet Michael Jordan.

According to N.O.R.E., when someone told Jordan that M**hod Man and Redman were there, MJ wasn’t interested:

“Somebody said, ‘Yo, Redman and M**hod Man is here.’ He said, ‘F*** rap’ and then they said, ‘Jay-Z is here’ and he said, ‘Oh, Jay-Z? Nah he’s cool’”.

N.O.R.E. says Jordan eventually spoke to Jay while M**h and Red never got the same reception.

Was MJ foul for this one? 😂

“I’m like, ‘Man, I can shoot this motherf*cker right now!’”😳🔫🔥

Warren G says he walked into a studio thinking everything was cool before ending up in a room with Suge Knight and having his chain taken from him.

Warren says he was armed and seriously considered reacting, but quickly realized how many people stood between him and the exit:

“I’m like, ‘Man, I can shoot this motherf*cker right now, but I ain’t gonna make it out of here’”.

When somebody opened the door, Warren says he saw his opportunity and slipped out. According to him, Suge immediately yelled for his people to catch him, and Warren ran straight for his truck.

Snoop Dogg later offered to help Warren get the chain back, but Warren says he told him to leave it alone.

Has there ever been a more crazy label than D*ath Row?

“Why the f*** is Sofía Vergara hanging out with Fat Joe all night?” 😂👀🔥

Fat Joe says Sofía Vergara unexpectedly spent much of Michael Rubin’s White Party hanging around him, while his wife Lorena watched the situation develop:

“She gave me that look look, you know that kind of look you don’t wanna see from your wife”.

Joe got the best stories in Hip-Hop.

Where do yall rank Joe?

“Bring The Game to the studio and I don’t care what you got to do!” 🤯🔥🐐

The Game says Dr. Dre sent someone into his neighborhood to bring him to the studio before they had even properly met but Game’s crew didn’t believe it:

“My n***a draw the g*n on him, ‘Who you here for, blood?’ And he like, ‘Yeah, Dr. Dre told me to come get Game’, so my n***a didn’t even tell me, bro. He just was like, ‘N***a, get the f*ck out of here ain’t no Dr. Dre coming in here.
A month or two later, he came back cause Dre told him ‘Look, bring The Game to the studio and I don’t care what you got to do. Bring The Game. I want The Game to come to the studio’”.

Did The Game ruin his career beefing with Dr.Dre and G-Unit?

“That’s Erykah Badu!”🤯🔥👀

Jill Scott originally wrote and recorded the hook for The Roots’ “You Got Me”, but the label wanted a bigger name for the single.

The Roots brought in Erykah Badu to sing Jill’s part and according to Jill, nobody told her beforehand.
Jill says she was walking down 22nd Street in Philly when she unexpectedly heard the finished record:

“I heard the song, and I was like, ‘This is the song’ and it wasn’t my voice, that’s Erykah Badu”.

Jill admitted she had about “14 good seconds” of thinking, “Wait a minute. What happened? That’s not me” but she quickly realized how big the moment actually was: Erykah Badu was singing words she had written.

Where do yall rank Erykah Badu?

“You think Jay will rock with this?”🐐🔥🐐

Dr. Dre and Mel-Man’s “Xxplosive” drums helped Kanye West land his first Jay-Z record, years before Yeezy made him a billionaire.

Speaking with VladTV, Roc-A-Fella executive Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua recalled Kanye combining those drums with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ “I Miss You” to create “This Can’t Be Life”:

“He finds those drums and, you know, he meshed them together and that’s the birth of his style, he called me with that beat like ‘you think Jay will rock with this?’ and I went crazy like ‘send it immediately’”.

Joshua had Kanye FedEx the beat over, Jay loved it immediately and the song came together with Beanie Sigel and Scarface for 2000’s “The Dynasty”.

From that moment on, Kanye West built such a legendary career he became a billionaire and one of the most influential artists of all time.

Are Dr. Dre and Kanye West the greatest producers in rap history?

“Stop trying to cause problems in L.A.!” 😤🐐🔥

Ice Cube says signing new rappers would be unfair because he couldn’t give them the attention they need.

Responding on X, Cube checked his critics after being questioned about why he hadn’t used his money and resources to sign or develop new L.A. talent:

“Because I’m an independent artist who’s not retired or semiretired. I write, produce and perform my own music. I write, produce, direct and star in movies. I also produce the soundtracks. I produce television as well. I’m also the co-founder and CEO of my own professional basketball league called the BIG3. It’s unfair for any rapper to be signed to me and expect the kind of attention they need to be successful. People like you, will always criticize people like me for not using my talents and resources in the way they see fit. Mind your own business cause the first time something is produced that you consider ‘wack’ you’d be asking everybody ‘Why’d they working with an old ass n*gga like Cube!?’ Stop trying to cause problems in L.A. and keep it pushing”.

Is Ice Cube correct on this one?

“He threw them in the trash!” 😂🐐🔥

Bow Wow says staying at Michael Jordan’s house came with one very specific rule: don’t walk around MJ wearing another NBA star’s sneakers.

While touring with Jordan’s sons, Bow Wow says he woke up one morning wearing a pair of Allen Iverson’s Reeboks:

“He woke me up and he took my Iversons and threw them in the trash”.

Jordan then gave him a fresh pair of Jordans to wear instead.

Aight let’s settle it: is it Jordan or LeBron?

“He sounded just like me, my voice!” 😂🔥🐐

Bizarre says recording with Eminem during their D12 days could be exhausting because Em was obsessed with getting everything right. Sometimes they would spend five or six hours working on a single verse.

One night, Bizarre went home while Eminem still wanted him to redo some ad-libs. Apparently Em didn’t feel like waiting until the next day:

“I guess he couldn’t wait for me, so when I came back the next day, he had did ’em for me”.

The craziest part was Eminem had actually imitated Bizarre’s voice to record them and nailed it, leaving Biz shook.

Where do yall SINCERELY rank Eminem?

Snoop Dogg stopped by DJ Whoo Kid's 'Whoo's House' podcast and revealed how it was like working with Pharrell and Eminem.

Snoop says you need to be honest when an artist writes a bad verse so they can make it better and reveals that's the conversation he's had with Pharrell a lot of times. He then talks about working with Eminem and how he cheats when writing his verses.

Do you guys think that's cheating on Eminem's part?
