The Carla Art Auction GOES LIVE TOMORROW!!!

The auction will be online for two weeks leading up to our big Soirée event at on May 9th. Key details:

⭐ You don’t need to be in LA to bid!
⭐ All bidding starts at $300 for the 5x7 inch artworks included
⭐ All of the artists are (or once were) LA-based
⭐ We introduced a “buy now” option where you can purchase a work outright for $1000.
⭐ The auction includes a featured artist section of more sizable works that are priced at market value by and

We are pleased to announce the 72 artists who will be participating in the 2026 Carla Art Auction as part of our annual SoirĂ©e & Art Auction, celebrating the L.A. art community and the launch of our summer issue! 🎆

Each L.A.-based artist — many of whom have been featured in Carla’s pages over the last decade — is contributing a small, accessibly-priced 5x7 inch work on paper (or a low-relief, wall-based medium) inspired by blow-in cards found between the pages of print magazines. The starting bid for all 5x7 inch artworks will be $300.

This year’s auction will include a featured artist section of 5 artists who have been interviewed in Carla in recent years. Each artist will present a larger artwork, to be sold at market value (feat. artists are marked in orange).

The artist auction will go live online on April 24th and conclude at the in-person event on May 9th at Night Gallery. Purchase a ticket to see the auction artworks in person for one night only!

The soirĂ©e will be an exciting evening of art, music, and drinks (including mezcal tasting by Madre Mezcal & wine by El Prado), plus a vocal performance by Sharon Chohi Kim. The VIP portion of the night will include an auction preview, a catered meal by Pine & Crane, unlimited bar access, a special exhibition walkthrough with artist Michelle Blade, and a meet and greet with auction artists! Plus, DJ sets, dancing, and more! Come soirĂ©e with us and help keep art and cultural production in L.A. thriving. 💚
