Londonโ€™s Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery at LA Art Show 2026 ๐ŸŽจ

Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery โ€” a longstanding fixture of Londonโ€™s Fitzrovia art scene โ€” brought its program to this yearโ€™s LA Art Show.

Founded by Melbourne-born Rebecca Hossack in 1988, the gallery holds a singular place in the international art world as the first in Europe to exhibit Australian Aboriginal painting. Over nearly four decades, Hossack has championed work that often sits outside the dominant currents of the contemporary scene โ€” from her annual Songlines seasons of Aboriginal art to exhibitions of work from Papua New Guinea, tribal India, and the Bushmen of the Kalahari, alongside a deep roster of Western contemporary painters, sculptors, and ceramicists.

The gallery operates from two locations: 2a Conway Street in Fitzrovia, London, and a second space in Miami.

Kassandra Voyagis (), producer/director of LA Art Show and Art Palm Beach, is in Venice this week with Marisa Caichiolo () โ€” curator of DIVERSEartLA and DIVERSEartPB โ€” for the opening of the Chilean Pavilion and the installation of "Inter-Reality" by Norton Maza () at the 61st International Art Exhibition in the Arsenale โ€” La Biennale di Venezia ().

Over 6,000 visitors passed through the pavilion on opening day. Co-curated by Marisa Caichiolo and Dermis Leรณn (), "Inter-Reality" brings together diverse audiences around a critical reflection on truth, coexistence, and the fragmentation of reality โ€” drawing on Maza's long-standing engagement with Western classical and Baroque traditions to construct a perceptual field that resists fixed viewpoints.
