Gen X and Millennials feel they can create chart busting music in their basements. In their offices or rooms in their houses. Spend hours toiling over how-to. Ask an expert mixologist. Add a mastering package. You know.
We live in an age of digital “prosumer” software spawnning a bold new generation of "inside artists" that have poured countless hours towards perfecting their software + hardware arsenals.
What I have learned over decades of musical contributors, talent, teams, and music projects is this: There is nothing like getting in a room with totally diverse talent, wood shedding the s**t out of the brainstorming, that begets song kernels, that begets collaborators to bang out original music.
You'll look at each other in the eye and know instantly. THAT's making unique music. Put down the software, back tracks and all the rest. True collaborations always make the best, original end products.
