Art Meditation to slowwww down and unwind your mind đŸȘ„đŸ§  ART SUPPLIES*** USED: - Canson mixed media paper - Transon black acrylic marker - Arrtx brush tip acrylic markers - Liquitex gold acrylic marker - Uniball Signo gel pens ***your regular reminder that you don’t need all this to create & meditate; other brands & mediums will work. This exercise can be done with crayons, colored pencils, watercolor & ink, and more!!! Permission to EXPLORE - make these your own. If you’re stuck in overthinking or feel intimidated by the blank page, start with a scribble or a flowy line. From there, let slow drawing & coloring be your portal to flow state. (BTW when we shift our state in Art Meditation, it’s not necessarily to “fix” anything, but as a way to be present & practice awareness - you cannot get this wrong!). Slow down and create something today - it’s good for ya!

I call these “scribble blob meditations” because they’re easy and feel so good! Happy brain time 😇✹🧠 I used Posca acrylic markers, Sharpie Creative Markers, and Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens.

this is a BLOB MANIFESTO đŸ«Ÿ ART SUPPLIES USED: - Canson mixed media paper - Arrtx brush-tip acrylic markers (blues) - Liquitex acrylic markers (black & silver) Now say it with me: We blob quickly & without judgment The blob is not precious, nor can it ever be perfect EVERY blob is just right We do not compare our blobs to other people’s blobs We respect the blob, but we do not worship the blob We do not abandon the blob - we finish the blob We are one with the blob, for the blob is created from us The blob is not a product, it is a practice Any mood is fit for a blob To blob is to walk the path of creative freedom We do not let the Inner Critic stop us from blobbing We do not think, we just BLOB

holy moly does my mind feel better after this one! ✹🧠 ART SUPPLIES USED: watercolor sketchbook (mixed media will work, too), Posca & Sharpie acrylic markers, washi tape. These are all in my Art Supply List (Amazon) linked in my bio! Tape off a mosaic in your sketchbook with low-tack tape. Then fill in each shape with stripes of different colors and widths - many mediums will work for this process, so use what you have! I then added white dots with an acrylic marker, giving the piece a galaxy-like look. Peeling off the tape at the end is like giving your brain a lil reward 😇 This process is relaxing, grounding, and therapeutic. It becomes a meditation when you let yourself enter flow state and focus your awareness on what’s happening in the moment. Observe yourself noticing the sounds, textures, and visual unfolding. P.S. Enjoy yourself! Experiment with colors and patterns! Relax your forehead, my friend!

YOU DON’T NEED FANCY TOOLS TO DO ART MEDITATION! Sorry for yelling, but this is one of the first things I talk to my students about and just wanna make sure we’re clear. Y’all have shown up for class! While yes, having nice markers and paint sticks and paper is wonderful, when we create & meditate, we are focused on the PROCESS. Learning to let go of overthinking & perfectionism. Being present with the sensory experience. Going with the flow. Letting whatever happens, happen. Noticing what we think & feel. The tools are tertiary at best. YOU CANNOT MESS THIS UP. YOU DON’T NEED ARTISTIC TALENT. Thank you so much for being here! Go forth and create!

relax your face, draw a flowy line, and enter flow state 😌 ART SUPPLIES*** USED: - Arteza water color paper - Mr. Pen washi tape - Transon black acrylic marker - Arrtx acrylic markers (coloring) - Arrtx Simptap silver acrylic marker ***other brands & mediums will work! This art meditation can be done with crayons, colored pencils, watercolor & ink, and more!!! Permission to EXPLORE - make these your own This is a relaxing, therapeutic process. Slowww down as you go; notice if there is a sense of urgency or any pressure to get it “right” (spoiler alert: you canNOT get this wrong!) Art Meditation is about the process, not the product. Do this to practice presence - you can certainly notice any thoughts & feelings that arise, but don’t put the pressure on yourself to change anything. Awareness of what’s happening in the present moment is enough!

Replying to here’s a quick breakdown of “overthinking” and what it means to be in the present 😌

08/22/2026

Brain is satisfied, soul is soothed 😌 I used Posca acrylic markers (5M) & Sharpie Creative Markers for the coloring, Sharpie for the outlining/corner rounding, and Gelly Roll gels pens for doodling. Oh and mixed media paper! These intuitive scribble blobs are SO cathartic to make. They usually take 30-45 minutes from start to finish, and this process is truly a meditative experience. Coloring helps your mind get out of overthinking mode and drop into flow state. Tracing flowy lines, rounding out corners, and simple zen doodling helps you stay focused in the present moment and can even release tension.
