RIP, James Burrows
Legendary television director James Burrows passed away at the age of 85. Known as the Zeus of multi-cam sitcoms, he directed over 1,000 episodes across iconic shows like Cheers, Friends, Taxi, Frasier, and Will & Grace.

There are a handful of moments during my time in Hollywood that I knew were special. One of them was watching Jimmy Burrows direct. He kept the energy going by keeping the camera up and running during breaks between takes or scene changes.

"LOVE the writing here. Way about average! This is a superb sci-fi spec with well-constructed twists and elevated character and dialogue work. The main conflict is internal, which makes the plotting a bit soft, but this script operates at a higher level. Plus, the story is contained, with a nice, tight ensemble, which always helps the pitch and the budget. Some smart producer’s gonna make this movie, and mark my words, it’s gonna be a huge success!"
