Thank you to CAP UCLA for inviting us back to your awesome Design for Sharing program! We had a great time performing for 1,100 enthusiastic students this morning. Today’s show was also the first of our Fall tour. Next stop will be Sunday, Oct. 18 at the beautiful Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, California. See you there!

We spent our Saturday morning at the 44th Annual Watts Towers Day of the Drum Festival - an event that celebrates percussion traditions from across the globe. As has become our tradition, we made our way to Philly Gourmet Ice to help us cool down while enjoying the other performing groups. Thank you to the coordinators for bringing us back and to everyone who came out!

Last evening we had the honor of performing at the PACE Gala Dinner! We got to perform on the 51st floor and enjoyed the beautiful view (especially Cody). Thank you so much for having us!

Today we had our first Arts Teach school show of the 2026-2027 school year! We had two fun performances this morning and we hope all the kids learned a little bit about taiko drumming. Thank you for hosting us Arlanza Elementary and we hope to visit again soon!

Yesterday we had the honor of performing at Q***r Obon presented by Okaeri in Little Tokyo! It was a wonderful event complete with games, food, crafts and (my favorite) Bon odori. During our performance we gave audience members the opportunity to try playing the taiko, encouraging them to embrace their strength and playing together in unity. For me, taiko during Obon is gathering the community together, calling to my ancestors to come celebrate and being the resolute heartbeat while we dance Bon odori. For Q***r Obon I feel all those things in addition to honoring those who have fought for and uplifted the LGBTQ+ community and being loud (with our drums) out and proud!
Thank you so much Okaeri Community for having us and congratulations on such a wonderful event for the community!

Last night we performed at the first Kadon Taiko Block Party! We had such a fun time meeting and reconnecting with taiko people from all over, and enjoyed the electric performances. The energy was so exciting!

Western Washington folks, come on out to our Fall touring concert in Federal Way! We've played north of Seattle the past couple of years (at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, and McIntyre Hall Performing Arts and Conference Center) but this is our first show south of Seattle in a few years.
