Meredith's Facebook Photos hosts a monthly show called “Same Same: The Name Game” at The Complex's Flight Theater. The show features teams composed of members who all share the same name or who have unique names. For example, one night might feature a team called The Mikes, which consists of improvisers all named “Mike,” and a team named Deb, made up only of improvisers who share some derivation of the name “Deborah,” “Debbie,” etc. Since we don’t want a night of all two-person teams, each team will be required to have at least three members. I have a unique name and won’t be able to perform in this show!” – fear not. Submit with others who also have a unique name or get creative with your team name. Past teams have included Team Z (everyone had a Z in his or her name) and The Young Mcs (last names started with Mc i.e. To submit, email: [email protected] with the names of all players on your team who will be at the show. The show will let us finally determine which name is the best in the world. Or it will be an interesting look into Nature or Nurture. At the very least, it will be a fun way to bring improvisers together who might not otherwise share the stage.
