New Community Arts Center in Van Nuys offering free workshops needs help.
Hello Neighbors
My name is Chris Berube and recently I have opened up The Palace Production Center which is located at 6843 Lennox Ave Van Nuys 91405. I have put everything I have into this, but after suffering a partial stoke over the holidays, I need to reach out for some help and unity.
The Palace is a Non Profit Community Arts that is reaching out to members of this community by offering FREE workshops and space to cultivate the arts, unity, and self improvement to all who come in and wish to contribute.
After spending many years working at a few movie studios and owning a few theaters, I decided to start this organization after seeing all the arts organizations being cut out of schools. Senior citizens being abandoned by family friends. Support groups losing their space due to raising rents. Veterans being isolated and left alone. So many people being abandoned. So much hope being lost, let’s find a way to create a space that allows:
Free workshops to unite folks with a 9 to 5 job .
Free workshops and after school programs for kids.
A meeting place for seniors to create and feel needed.
A free space for support groups to worry about helping others and not how to pay rent.
A free space for veterans to meet and create with others that they can relate to.
A space where small churches can meet and have their own worship and study groups.
And we do it all for FREE. No additional costs to anyone that might be struggling to make ends meet due to the setback of living paycheck to paycheck.
Currently our facility has the following:
2 Theaters (57 and 35 seats)
A Recording Studio for audio and video podcasts
A photography and self tape audition studio
A Café with food drink
A Film Sound Stage 3600 square feet (pending)
And a Yoga / Dance Studio (pending)
We have already started a series of free workshops for adults, but looking for help in starting more children’s classes and after school programs.

Wednesday Nights @ 8:00 Writers Workshop
A Stand Up Comedy Workshop is in the works.
These are all free and not a way to get you to sign up for a paid class. Any and all who come in will be welcome.
But we need help! I recently learned a stroke can really set you back. We need help getting the word out to the public. We need to find the groups that could use our assistance. Support groups, Senior Citizens organizations, Children’s teachers and workshop leaders. If you have any connection to these kinds of organizations, or want to come on in and help contribute to making the world a better place. I’d like to set up an open house to invite the community in and meet. I could use some volunteer help to get the ball rolling and even set up an advisory board. (the stroke I had didn’t take me out, but it did slow me down). I would love to make the Palace Production Center something our community can make their own and be proud of. I hope you can help.
