In 2025, as an extension to our Grow Grant and in collaboration with Park&Lex Productions and Zeal COOP, we launched the Artist Relief Fund in response to the LA County Fires. We were able to distribute $7,000 in funding to the artists affected.

Super is dedicated to the advancement of artists in our community. Our micro grant has provided Black and Latinx artists in Los Angeles with funding to be used as needed since 2021. Our intention for this grant is to put funding back into the community we serve.

Visit atthesuper.com to learn more about the work Super has done for the artist community.

As Latinx Heritage Month comes to an end we want to thank everyone who participated and our co-curator for putting an amazing group together. As a reminder, Latinx artists need your support all year round. As we do our part please consider donating to Super’s iFundWomen campaign to expand the resources we have available for Black and Latinx artists.

RESIDENCIA Presents “Palomita”

The film traces the journey of Jorge “Thriller” Gómez (.gomez.design ), a graffiti writer and brand designer, moving through the heart of Latinx culture at the Alameda Swapmeet, Downtown LA, and Inglewood. Woven into these landscapes are the women who shape his community and his world.

At its center, a poem unfolds—an intimate meditation on fatherhood, on raising a daughter, and on the weight of expectations and trials that await them. Through love and resilience, the film reveals a simple truth: whatever comes, we endure it together.

Directed and Written by Jorge “Thriller” Gómez
Directors of Photography: Onel Ordaz ( ) & Uli Barajas ( )
Filmed by: Onel Ordaz, Uli Barajas, & Derly Barajas ( )

Calling Latinx Filmmakers!
Super is now accepting short film submissions for our 2025 virtual celebration of Latinx art and resistance. We’re spotlighting 2 powerful films as part of our curated digital platform launching during Hispanic Heritage Month this September.

We’re looking for shorts (10–30 min) that reflect Latinx identity, imagination, or resistance through bold storytelling; fiction or non-fiction.

Selected filmmakers will be featured across our digital platform and social media, with the opportunity to reach a wide network of artists, art workers, and cultural partners.

Submit your film by September 12th via the link in bio.
