Due to the ongoing fire activity in the area and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our guests and staff, CASA 0101 Theater will be closed for the remainder of today.

All scheduled activities for today have been canceled.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone for one of our own.

Congratulations to Mia Martinez, who has graduated from high school and is beginning an exciting new chapter at Emerson College! 🎓

During her time in CASA 0101’s Youth Musical Theater Program, Mia has grown as both a performer and a young artist. We are especially proud to share that she was selected as a recipient of the Dr. Beatriz Solis Scholarship, recognizing her hard work, dedication, and bright future.

While we’ll miss seeing Mia at our theater, we’re excited to welcome her into our growing family of CASA 0101 alumni. We can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes, and we’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.

Congratulations, Mia! Your CASA family is so proud of you. ❤️

“Soul Sacrifice” takes us deep inside a family trying to heal and doing all they can to stay together” - NoHo Arts District

Thank you to everyone who has joined us for this world premiere. It’s been meaningful to see audiences connect with the Flores family’s story and the experiences that inspired it.

YOUTH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Hello,
We’re excited to share that the Boyle Heights Youth Festival (BHYFest) is returning for 2026. BHYFest is currently recruiting Day-of Volunteers to help make this year’s festival a success.
Appreciate your support in sharing this volunteer opportunity with youth who may be interested in gaining community service hours, leadership experience, and hands-on event involvement.

BHYFest will take place on Saturday, June 6th from 3- 7:00pm on 1st Street between St. Louis and Breed Street in Boyle Heights.

BHYFest is a free, community-centered festival celebrating Boyle Heights youth and families through live performances, interactive activities, local resources, free food, agua frescas and more. Youth volunteers play a huge role in helping create a welcoming, fun, and impactful experience for our community.

Volunteer perks include community service hours, hands-on experience, and a chance to support a community event while connecting with other young people.

Our cast and crew are hard at work to bring this powerful story to life. Set in East L.A., the play follows nine-year-old Connie as her family begins to fracture under the weight of war, activism, and grief after her brother Luie is drafted to Vietnam.
