Julianne, Lilly, and Aviva rehearse Myrtha, Queen of the Willis, for our upcoming performances of Giselle. This principal role demands lofty jumps and steely technique all while appearing light as air - one of the hardest in the classical ballet canon!

Of Van Manen’s Frank Bridge Variations:

“Here the evening rose to the level of true art, where meaning became apparent in the most elemental of movements — Biella and Edwards interweaving, coming apart, and back together, until at last she jumps into his arms, and they walk off together. All of this was made more meaningful knowing that Van Manen no longer is among us. Yet, here he is, the dancers seemed to
understand, speaking to us still, from these simplest of
movements, about relationships, connection, and distance.” - Robert Steven Mack,

“Barak’s Wavelength closed the program on a note of joyous contemporary vitality. The choreography moved with natural freedom, a buoyant, clear-eyed romp, while the dancers were fully engaged: responsive, collegial, and deeply invested in realizing Barak’s vision.” -Joanne DiVito,

“Julianne Kinasiewicz as the ‘Tall Girl,’ was excellent. Whether leading the female corps or dancing with four male corps members, Kinasiewicz and her secure technique brought just the right blend of arrogance mingled with joy to the role.” - Seen and Heard International, Jane Rosenberg

Stravinsky and Balanchine were quite the pair! Rubies captures the genius of these two artists like nothing else. Fiery, sensual, and explosive, it’s a thrill for audiences and performers alike, and it’s headed to The Wallis in less than two weeks! Here we go 🙌🏻
