So ends another year of Summer Cool, and what a blast it was!

From visual art to the mummies exhibit at the Science Center to a water balloon fight and a performance, it was two weeks full of entertainment. 🎭

This year we were inspired by the Artemis II mission a few months ago, so we decided to bring space to our stage. Our students prepared a show around starting new life on the moon. 🌕 🌙 🚀

We want to thank our families for bringing their kids to our camp. It was a blast to have them here.

Así concluye otro año de Summer Cool, ¡y fue una experiencia fantástica!

Desde crear artes visuales y la exposición de momias en el Centro de Ciencias hasta una guerra de globos de agua y una presentación final, fueron dos semanas llenas de diversión. 🎭

Este año nos inspiramos en la misión Artemis II, realizada hace unos meses, y decidimos llevar el espacio a nuestro escenario. Nuestros alumnos prepararon un espectáculo centrado en el inicio de una nueva vida en la Luna. 🌕 🌙 🚀

Queremos agradecer a las familias por haber traído a sus hijos a nuestro campamento. Fue un placer tenerlos aquí.

Winter’s Bench, the new play by Mike Kenny, a masterful script accompanied by breathtaking woodwinds, is not to be missed.

Shih-wei Wu (They/Them) is a Taiwanese-American composer-performer on the Japanese taiko, shakuhachi, and yokobue. Their magical flute was recently heard in the off-Broadway production of “Sumo” at the Public Theatre, and the Los Angeles revival of “Pacific Overture” at East-West Players. You can hear their beautiful flute in Winter’s Bench this September.

A life-spanning relationship between an old woman and an ancient tree, the last tree standing amidst coming deforestation. Winter’s Bench, a story that refuses to be silent.

Winter’s Bench, la nueva obra de Mike Kenny: un libreto magistral acompañado por la prodigiosa música de instrumentos de viento-madera.

Shih-wei Wu es un compositor e intérprete taiwanés-estadounidense de instrumentos japoneses como el tambor (taiko) las flautas (shakuhachi y yokobue).
