We thank the Chicano Resource Center at the East Los Angeles Library for making the second edition of "Conversatorios de las Artes" possible. On this occasion, our guest was the artist Michael Amescua, who presented his extensive career through images of his artwork in paper, canvas, ceramics, and steel.

Agradecemos al Chicano Resource Center de la Biblioteca del Este de Los Ángeles por hacer posible la segunda edición de «Conversatorios de las Artes». En esta ocasión, nuestro invitado fue el artista Michael Amescua, quien compartió su trayectoria destacada con imágenes de sus obras de arte en papel, lienzo, cerámica y acero.

Muy agradecidos con la East Los Angeles Library y el Chicano Resource Center, así como con los artistas creadores Alfredo de Batuc y Roberto S. Oregel, por su permitirnos hacer el lanzamiento de la serie CONVERSATORIOS DE LAS ARTES, con el documental "Lejanías y Nostalgia. The Art of Alfredo de Batuc".

La cita para nuestro segundo conversatorio tendrá lugar a la misma, hora en el mismo lugar, el 28 de marzo, último sábado del mes. Los esperamos!

We are very grateful to the East Los Angeles Library and the Chicano Resource Center, as well as to the artists Alfredo de Batuc and Roberto S. Oregel, for being part of the launch of the CONVERSATORIOS DE LAS ARTES (ARTS CONVERSATIONS) series with the documentary "Lejanías y Nostalgia (Distances and Nostalgia): The Art of Alfredo de Batuc."

Our second conversation will take place at the same time and location on March 28, the last Saturday of the month. We hope to see you there!

Un bonito sábado de posada navideña en el Museum of Latin American Art con actividades familiares por parte del Instituto Cultural Mexicano de Los Angeles. Los asistentes pudieron confeccionar estrellas y pintar un mural con la guía del Maestro Jose Antonio Aguirre y de Margarita Medina.

A beautiful Christmas celebration took place with a "posada" at the Museum of Latin American Art. Families enjoyed activities organized by the Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, such as making stars and painting a mural under the direction of artist José Antonio Aguirre.
