This Sunday, join us for our Ceramic Bird Feeders workshop🐦‍⬛
This workshop will be a 4-hour deep dive into the slab handbuilding technique. You’ll construct a fully functional bird feeder with a seed silo, multiple perches, and your own decorative touches. We’ll glaze and fire your piece for you after the workshop, ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Workshop Details:
May 17th
11am - 3pm
Beginner-friendly, all skill levels welcome

✿ mosaic tile coasters, may 9 - create a set of mosaic coasters using recycled ceramic tile pieces

✿ pocket altars, may 10 - hand-sew a pocket altar - a soft fabric pouch to hold keepsakes, photographs, ancestors and intentions with .liqua. a perfect mother’s day activity❤️

✿ ceramic ocarinas, may 12 - build a working ceramic instrument while exploring form, sound, and design

✿ ceramic bird feeders, may 17 - build and decorate a bird feeder with storage for birdseed and multiple perches

Next Thursday, join us for a night of mutual aid and collective care as we come together to support community member Caro through her upcoming housing transition due to unjust eviction.

If you are unable to attend next Thursday but would still like to support Caro, please consider donating a pot! Please reach out to Madeleine at the number on slide 2 to coordinate drop off.

Caro is a friend, neighbor, elder, and tenant activist who is being evicted from her home of 12 years due to the Ellis Act.

After fighting her landlord in court and exhausting all options, she must transition to “market-rate” housing in June. This comes at a very challenging time, as ICE & DHS presence in LA has heavily impacted her work and income as a plant vendor.

We will be making pots for Caro to fill with plants and sell to raise funds for her housing transition. More details regarding plant sale to come!

°❀.࿔ starting in april, will be hosting a free bi-weekly fiber craft circle for people to bring their projects, hang out, and troubleshoot. all fiber crafts welcome!
