🎨✨ Exciting News! The YMCA Mural Reveal Event in Wilmington, California was a huge success! 🌟✍️ funding from The One-Five - City Councilperson Tim McOsker , under the direction of , the mural at the Wilmington YMCA is the first of four new murals to be completed as part of Phase II of the Wilmington Beautification Project in the LA Harbor.🙌🎨
✨ The Wilmington YMCA now an awe-inspiring mural capturing 🏞️🎉 Artist ’s vision of children playing with “toy blocks” of shipping containers, showcasing the diversity, resilience, and unity that define the harbor community of Wilmington. 🌆💙
👏 We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to The YMCA of Wilmington for their commitment to enriching our community and providing a platform for local artists to showcase their talent! 🙏💙

Dear community, it is with great happiness that we present the new date for Amor a La Comunidad set for this Saturday, March 4th in the beautiful city of San Fernando from 11am-1pm. Join us for a day of community bonding with one another and amplifying individual voices using art. We thank you for your flexibility as Mother Nature has her own timeline that we must honor. Have you seen Gelson Lemus’ mural at Fire Station 38? He was one of the winners for this year’s Wilmington Town Square competition, part of the beautification project in partnership with and . As part of the , we held weekly workshops for kids and teens at the Wilmington Recreation Center. Student participants learned how to design and create the hand made ceramic tiles that form the six finished archway murals. Artist Katy Krantz () led these workshops teaching art, design and poetry. Special thanks to Anthony Magee (), who taught two Photoshop classes and to Documentary filmmaker Nadine Mundo (), who created the videos linked to QR code tiles in the mosaic murals as part of the living history of Wilmington. Thanks to all the kids who helped make this project come alive – you are our future!

Note: This project includes an acknowledgement that recognizes its location as Native Land, it reads “You stand on the traditional homeland and unceded territory of the Gabrielino-Tongva people. They were the first caretakers of this land and they are still here. Commit to uplifting their stories, culture, and community and in doing so, learn to become a better steward of this land.”
