The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, under the vibrant leadership of Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, presents an inspiring array of music from all genres - orchestral, chamber and Baroque music, organ and celebrity recitals, new music, jazz, world music and pop - at two of L.A.’s iconic venues, Walt Disney Concert Hall (www.LAPhil.com) and the Hollywood Bowl (http://www.HollywoodBo

With the preeminent Los Angeles Philharmonic at the foundation of its offerings, the LA Phil aims to enrich and transform lives through music, with a robust mix of artistic, education and community programs.

Last month, bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green (Ryan Speedo Green) reprised his role as Wotan, the mighty leader of the gods from Wagner’s “Die Walküre.”

In the final act, Wotan sings “Leb’ wohl,” a stunning yet harrowing farewell to his daughter Brünnhilde (portrayed by soprano Christine Goerke), who he punishes for betraying him.

Green told “Seen and Heard International” in an earlier interview: “To have to sing ‘Leb’ wohl’ at the end of...[this] opera requires everything of you.”

Performed together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel in May 2026.

Today is a day to celebrate. To reflect. To learn. To come together and commemorate Black freedom and American history.

As an organization, we are proud to honor this special day and remember the ongoing responsibility we share to promote independence, equity, and dignity for all.

If you’re heading to the Hollywood Bowl tonight, we’ll see you there for a party you won’t forget. Still need tickets? Visit hollywoodbowl.com to grab the last open seats!

This Saturday night, the LA Phil New Music Group will be performing with violinist Geneva Lewis at the Ojai Music Festival’s 80th Festival at Libbey Bowl!

The program moves from the vivid textures of Gabriella Smith to the driving force of John Adams’ Chamber Symphony, with works by Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen, Magnus Lindberg, and Anna Thorvaldsdottir shaping the night.

Conducted by Mert Yalniz, Aleksandra Melaniuk, and Salonen, this is Ojai at its most adventurous—music that pulses, expands, and surprises.

We are excited to share that the OJAILIVE webcast of the LA Phil’s performance will be embedded on their homepage and streams tomorrow from 8-10PM PT. Click on the link below to tune in! 🎶

We are excited to share that Vineta Sareika has been appointed the next Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, beginning in the 2026/27 season!

In this role, Vineta will help shape the orchestra’s distinctive sound through her leadership of the musicians, performances of major violin solos, and serving as a vital artistic liaison between the conductor and orchestra. Vineta was previously the First Concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic, the first woman to hold the position, and is also an accomplished soloist, chamber musician, and educator.

Vineta joined us as guest concertmaster last month in our thrilling “Die Walküre” performances, and we can’t wait to welcome her back this fall as an official member of the LA Phil family!

On May 29th LA Phil Insight partnered with Yo-Yo Ma for Braided River, an afternoon weaving together stories alongside the Los Angeles River.

We invited a small group of artists, ecologists, and community advocates to gather in Riverfront Park in Maywood where artist Rosten Woo guided participants through thoughtful conversations around river restoration and community building while they engaged in a collective weaving exercise led by Tongva artists, listened to live music tied to the history of the space, enjoyed food from local businesses, watched a mural unfold live on the riverbank, and perused offerings from the Libros con Alma bookmobile.

The gathering culminated in a live musical performance on the river’s edge by Yo-Yo Ma, Angélica Negrón, Darian Donovan Thomas, Summer Wilson, Lazaro Arvizu Jr., Janet Castañeda, and Roberto Carlos.

We hope this gathering planted seeds for further action to help care for the natural resources in our communities.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at the LA Phil! Today, we’re celebrating with a spotlight on Julius Eastman and Arthur Russell—the two musical mavericks that inspired our 2024/25 season’s To the Fullest Festival with REDCAT and Wild Up. The music of these legendary collaborators is personal, expansive, and quintessentially q***r. But above all else, it demands that performers and listeners become unabashedly themselves.

This June, we encourage you to be proud, make community, and express yourself “to the fullest!"
