United Recording is one of the entertainment industry’s most storied and celebrated recording studios. To keep that heritage intact, we’re making some changes to strengthen our studio’s financial position while ensuring our clients have the best possible experience. Beginning April 3, 2023, we will require longer minimum bookings for recording sessions and will rent the facility out for events and location shoots. Our historic facility will remain open for use and we will continue to maintain the studios and equipment. These changes have been communicated to employees and clients who have already made bookings.

Paramore is back with another helping of its trademark pop-rock in the form of This is Why, the group’s sixth album. The collection was recorded at Hollywood’s United Recording Studios following a multi-year pause that saw lead singer Haley Williams record two solo albums; now the trio’s latest Atlantic Records release debuted in February at Number 2 on the Billboard 200, and also hit the top spot in the UK and Australia.

Paramore is back with This is Why, the group’s sixth album, recorded at Hollywood’s United Recording Studios.

Paramore’s highly anticipated sixth studio album “This Is Why” has arrived via Atlantic Records. The title track earned the band their first #1 at Alternative Radio and was voted “Hottest Record Of The Year” by BBC Radio One listeners in the UK.

Recorded at Hollywood’s United Recording studios, the finely crafted soundscape is the celebrated band’s first full-length release since 2018.... The band also performed their latest single “Running Out of Time” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. After their Nashville hometown album release show at the Grand Ol Opry House Nashville TN, Paramore will be joining Taylor Swift on the opening nights of her Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona on March 17th and 18th.

Grammy award-winning producer Jeffrey Weber has returned to United Recording Studios in Hollywood with jazz luminary Clifford Lamb. The celebrated jazz pianist/composer from the SF Bay Area has recorded six albums with Weber, mostly at United.

Grammy and Emmy-award winning engineer, Clark Germain, is the engineer of choice for Weber. Weber and Germain have been working together for over thirty years, primarily in the live to two-track or live to multitrack formats. Their preferred recording process is live, with no mixing, editing or overdubbing. "I prefer to capture a live performance, rather than manufacture one," says Weber. "I feel that live recording is sonically excellent, emotionally dramatic, and financially practical. Performers have to be confident in their art and fearless in the performance of their art. As you might imagine, this manner of recording is not for everyone."

In 2013, Jeff Beck and Brian Wilson met in Studio A to prepare for their North American tour, which featured Wilson's longtime bandmates Al Jardine, David Marks and Blondie Chaplin. We will never forget the days that Jeff and Brian were working together at the studio. Legendary giants of modern music. We send our condolences to Jeff's family and friends.
