After 5 years, INK & LINDA is NOW available to rent or own on all cable, satellite and digital platforms including Video and . The story of the unexpected friendship and collaboration between an urban artist in his 20s and a dancer in her 70s as they team up to form LA’s most unlikely street art duo.
This is a film about so many things--art, friendship, identity, family, courage, connection. But what this movie has the most of is love. Every member of the talented crew who worked on this movie loved it. Inksap and Linda are inspiring. Their story and their art is love.
This film offers a glimpse of something genuine and true. It is an antidote to the struggle, the pain and negativity of life. And it was a struggle to make this movie that challenged me like I have never been challenged in all my life. And it was worth it to see the impact the movie has had on those who watch it.
How often do we succumb to ingesting whatever content the studios, the tech giants, the culture tells us? How often is it true? How often is it worthy? This life we have is precious. We should demand more of our art. This film stands up to that demand.
It will show you joy and excitement, danger and growth. It will leave you feeling more connected to yourself and your fellow members of humanity. It may make you want to dance. It may make you want to climb on the nearest building at midnight and make your mark for all the world to see.
This movie changed me. And I believe if you give it seventy minutes of your life, it will, in a small way, change you, too.
Thank you to everyone involved: the two people who started it all and let me into their lives and their art:
The ethereal goddess of wisdom and dance The genius that is
Our dedicated and insightful editor who found the story in the chaos
Our composer whose music is the film's blood and soul
And who sets the table with the opening song by and made my dream come true of having a John Frusciante song in my movie.
