When asked if a planned restoration for could change course, the answer was an emphatic YES! I took the original body of a "hair curler bird" and built up a new head to match the concept art by the marvelous Rolly Crump. Since the original piece had shoulders we decided to give him arms. Not to toot my own horn but I think this guy literally springs to life from the OG artwork. What do you think?

We brought it hard at the Ball this weekend! In only 5 days I built our giant crone, rehearsed our team, and slayed those kids with a soundtrack from the olden days of my own youth. 40 years in the making, I got to put some visuals to Diamanda Galas, and I'm pretty sure we did some brain damage to a slack jawed audience. Despite constant setbacks from last minute cast dropouts, to staging that could barely accommodate the size of our piece, .whtch all came together to present one of my new favorite Halloween pieces. I'm so grateful and proud of everyone. The final slide is of the stunning masks by that brought our team into the world of The Plague.

Every year at the Halloween Ball I get swamped with messages that I won't see till the end of the night asking "WHERE ARE YOU?","I'm here but we can't find you", "What room are you in?" Well my lil drinkiecrows, this year you'll have no problems, WE'LL BE ON THE MAIN STAGE!

Another one for the books! Oedipus The King, Mama by was a remarkable way to spend the summer. 20 years of creating with the iconic LA theatrical treasure The Troubies and together we STILL crush the stage. It is an absolute pleasure and an honor to continue to build the wild concoctions of while the joy of watching shows nightly from the wings constantly unfolded absurdly clever layers of genius that always left me gobsmacked. I'll always be a proud Troubie at heart.
Thank you so much for being so helpful in all the zany projects I continue to take on, especially building, performing, and doing maintenance on the Sphynx. And so much gratitude at the Villa in Malibu for hosting this production. The resilience of our community, from devastating fires to attacks on the arts, has filled my heart all summer long.

Silent on socials means working around the clock IRL.
We're finally down to the wire and in tech week at the gorgeous Getty Villa, fine tuning yet another masterpiece. So excited about my biggest and brightest puppet with Troubies to date, and if you remember the Jabberwocky you know I mean BIG.
Tickets flying like banana sandwiches on a hot griddle, get em while you can!!
