Thinkspace Projects

Thinkspace Projects Founded in Los Angeles in 2005, Thinkspace exists as a catalyst for the New Contemporary movement. Thinkspace Projects is located at 4217 W. Jefferson Blvd.
(796)

Founded in Los Angeles in 2005, Thinkspace was established with a commitment to the promotion and dissemination of young and emerging art. The gallery is a catalytic conduit for the emerging art scene, and is dedicated to the exposure of its tenets and its artists. This movement, straddled between street art, graphic art, design, and popular culture, is subject to steadily increasing global expans

ion, and is in need of institutional advocates. Thinkspace is positioned to create opportunities and a visible platform for its recognition and proliferation. The movement is young, but significant, and Thinkspace’s aim is to establish both a curatorial forum and a collector base for its output. As an institution, Thinkspace is committed to vision, risk, and the exceptional talents that wield it. From the streets, to the gallery, from the “margins”, to the white cube, Thinkspace is re-envisioning what it means to be “institutional”. As a haven for talent, and a venue founded in passion, conviction, and community, the gallery’s mandate is rooted in projections for its future longevity. We intend to be a vehicle for the talents we vet for year’s to come, and are passionate advocates for their vision and their dreams. in Los Angeles, California 90016.

excited to announce my latest exhibit opening next week in Los Angeles, California titled Risks & Rewards at Thinkspace Projects

If you’d like an advanced preview, it goes out Monday next week. Please contact the gallery directly to arrange

✉️ [email protected]

'Risks & Rewards' is a body of work that lives in the space between instinct and consequence. It explores what happens when the natural world collides with the constructed one—when creatures built for oceans and open skies drift into the streets, subways, and alleyways of human life. These scenes aren’t meant to be realistic, but they are meant to feel familiar: like memories, dreams, or warnings that linger long after waking.

The animals in these works appear as both visitors and symbols. Sharks and orcas move through city environments like ghosts—powerful, calm, and misplaced. Their presence turns everyday spaces into something uncertain and cinematic, where danger feels close but also strangely beautiful. In this way, the work becomes a metaphor for survival: the tension of navigating environments not built for you, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward anyway.

The title 'Risks & Rewards' reflects this constant exchange. Every step into the unknown carries fear, but also the possibility of transformation. The work speaks to the gamble of growing, healing, and evolving—whether as individuals or as a society. The reward is not safety, but clarity: moments of stillness inside chaos, and the realization that even in the most unnatural settings, life adapts.

At its core, this exhibition is about contrast—nature and infrastructure, silence and motion, predator and prey, vulnerability and strength. These images create a world where the impossible becomes ordinary, inviting the viewer to question what is truly out of place: the animals in the city, or the world we’ve built around them.

'Risks & Rewards' asks us to consider what we risk in pursuit of progress, and what we might still recover if we pay attention before it’s too late.
