Since 1968, the Art Centers have mentored and represented artists with intellectual disabilities. The program originally began as a single site in the South L.A. area, and since 2008 has expanded to encompass three other locations.

Join ECF Art Centers for an Open House at our new Whittier Studio in Downtown Whittier this Friday!

Our new art center is nestled in the heart of Downtown Whittier’s Greenleaf Promenade, a lively pedestrian space surrounded by the neighborhood’s historic charm, tree-lined streets, and vintage architecture.

The Promenade is home to local boutiques, specialty shops, art galleries, and diverse eateries, making it a perfect setting for our new studio and a great place to spend an afternoon exploring the community. 🌿🎨

We’re excited to become part of this vibrant neighborhood and welcome you into our new space!

So happy to announce our artists’ participation in Art Enables’ 20th annual exhibition, OUTSIDE FORCES: An Exhibition of Self-Taught Artists!

This year’s exhibition brings together independent artists and artists from 27 progressive studios from across the country.

A huge congratulations to our artists Rachel Curry, Leon Hernandez, Kenneth Muto, Demi Ornelas, Sonia Prado, and Rachel Watts! We’re so happy to see them showcasing their talents alongside so many other inspiring artists from across the country. ❤️

As the ECF Art Center San Pedro gears up for our annual Art Sale, we’re excited to highlight our Project Space, which is currently featuring a ceramics exhibition showcasing artwork by ECF San Pedro artists and staff. 🏺✨

From large-scale sculptures and functional ceramics to decorative plates and wall-mounted works, this exhibition highlights the wide range of ceramic artwork created in our studio.

If you can’t make it to the Art Sale this Saturday, don’t worry, the ceramics exhibition in the Project Space will remain on view through August 28.
