What an incredible Showcase! We are thankful to all the families and friends that came to support our amazing filmmakers!

The Norris Cinema theater was full! Full of love from families and friends for our students, full of talent from our filmmakers, and full of pride from all of us in the Division as we witnessed the incredible journey they have all gone through, leading to this showcase.

We loved seeing our faculty, full time and adjuncts also be acknowledged for all the hard work and support they give our students day after day!

A special thanks to the John C Hench Foundation trustees for attending our event. Without your support to our Division, we couldn’t do what we do for our students!

We hope you all get to experience these films soon! Congratulations Class of 2026!

We can’t wait for this year’s Showcase! There are so many incredibly talented students graduating this year, and we have been on pins and needles, waiting for this event!

We are so excited for their families, crew, faculty, and close friends to be the first to watch their films.

Our reservation system is nearing capacity, but we plan to have a second screening later this Fall. Also, make sure to follow all the incredible artists, as you’ll likely find their films playing at a festival near you soon!

In “Utang”, a Filipino-American daughter must rebuild both her home and her history after a devastating wildfire destroys decades of shared memories.

We are so thrilled to share this sneak peak of “The Boy with a Bird on his Head”! This hybrid live action + animation film was created by the talented MFA student Ciara Borgards!

In this film, a boy takes an injured bird and sets out to make it fly again, inventing every solution he can imagine, only to discover that what it really needs is his love. An allegory of a child learning to care for a sick parent.

Wow!! Look at this stunning sneak peak of “Eden”, a beautiful 2D animated capstone film by BFA student Emma Fong!

In “Eden”, feeling responsible for the untimely death of her best friend, a young girl confronts her overwhelming grief and guilt by planting a field of sunflowers around the nuclear power plant that took her friend’s life.

It’s time to unveil a sneak peek of “Caged Bird”, a 2D animated short film from our talented BFA Christina Zhou!

This mature action film centers on the turning point in the life of a mafia boss. What will he do when he finds out that the one he fought beside, the one he trusted with his very life, has been an undercover cop all along?

This next film is “Legendary” - a 2D animated fantasy western from our awesome BFA Lucas Silberman!

In “Legendary” when a small-town sheriff is captured by outlaws, his imaginative seven-year-old daughter, Abigail, sets out on a daring rescue with the help of the monsters from her own stories—fantastical protectors born from her fears that prove courage can grow from even the darkest corners of a child’s imagination.

We’re beyond excited to share this gorgeous sneak peek from “Hop Into Love” by our MFA director, Drawing Chen!

In this film, a lonely bunny searches for love in others, until a moment of loss leads her to discover her own sense of worth and connection. The story explores self-love, growth, and the quiet warmth found in everyday life.

In honor of National Picnic Day, we’d like to kick off our Animation Graduation Showcase sneak peeks with “Picnic Time” a film by the super talented .harter.foist.

In this 2D short animated film, you will witness a personal memoir told through a picnic blanket.
