SUPER SATURDAYS Wintershaw Enterprises has developed Super Saturday, a multiple interest series of events and productions held every week at Park La Brea's Activities Center, near The Grove Shopping Center in Los Angeles (90036). The concept presents a series of two hour programs throughout the day that are aimed at a wide demographic. In considering what people are gravitating towards these days for their recreational enjoyment, many flock to social networking online. However, there is still the human need to interact in reality and so, these are the kinds of programs being presented on Super Saturdays. Denizens Breakfast Club - 9 am to 12 noon - Activities Center Meeting Rm & Lounge is a gathering of individuals, seeking to network with like minded people, particularly in the world of media, entertainment and technology, but not restricted to this. These events range from talks given by high-profile speakers, to connecting ideas and collaboration in the community inside and surrounding Park La Brea and beyond and served up with a delicious breakfast to start the day! ($20 for members / $30 for guests each Saturday)
ii. Universal Women's Circle -12 noon - 2 pm - PLB Theater Maybe a first at Park La Brea! A group for women from all walks of life to share their experiences and develop meaningful projects in and outside of the environs of Park La Brea. Topics include women's issues; politics; business; domestic and fashion. K-6 Games - 12 noon - 2 pm - Activities Center Meeting Room Fun-filled games to occupy this young group (perhaps while their mothers meet in the Women's Circle!) ($10 a ticket)
iv. Family Movie of the week - PLB Theater - 2 pm to 4 pm (FREE)
v. Move It! - 4 pm to 6 pm - Activities Center Meeting Room & Lounge A contemporary performance and movement class for mid to late teens. ($10 a ticket)
vi. Gourmet! - 6pm - 8pm - Activities Center Meeting Room A kind of gourmet club where local Restaurants, Cafes and Bars promote, review and offer tastings of their menus and hospitality. ($10 a ticket)
vii. Speed Dating - 8pm - 9:30 pm Activities Center Meeting Room & Lounge Speed Dating is one of the most popular, engaging and fun-filled past times these days. This one is aimed at 21-35 year olds. ($20 a ticket)
viii. Performance in The Park - 7:30pm to 9:30 pm - PLB Theater This series of entertainment rotates, offering Comedy, Jazz, Variety and Recital performances one week each month. ($20 a ticket)
A reasonable charge is made for each activity (apart from the movie).
